Recording Like MacGyver

Welcome to Recording Like MacGyver! My name (the guy writing this!) is Aaron J. Trumm – and I don’t think anyone should have to suck at what they love. I also don’t think being great at music should only be for rich people.

So I made Recording Like MacGyver. It’s all about recording music and everything that goes into it from production to audio to writing to business – but for everyone, not just rich people. If you can’t buy a ton of gear, you can still make great records! If you can, great, it’ll make it easier!

 So at RLM, we focus on being resourceful and smart rather than just throwing money at the problem. That’s more than just finding cheap deals or free software – in order to be good at this without spending as much money as most people do, we really gotta know our stuff!

Just like MacGyver! He would always foil the bad guys with bubble gum and tape – because he REALLY knew how stuff worked! That’s what we’re here for – to help you get so good at making records you have a huge financial advantage! Even if you don’t have a lot to spend, you can make great recordings! So, come on, let’s make hit records for practically nothing! Or at least have some fun and get smarter about our music. 🙂
